Singapore’s Original Açaí Bowls
Founded in 2015 in Holland Village, Project Acai introduced Singapore to the açaí bowl and remains known today as Singapore’s original açaí bowl brand. What began as a small neighbourhood store has grown into a wellness-focused concept centred around one simple idea: açaí should be prepared the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
Today, Project Acai serves a menu of açaí bowls, smoothies and wholesome snacks designed around everyday wellness.
Our Philosophy
At Project Acai, we believe that how food is prepared matters just as much as the ingredients themselves. From the beginning, our goal has been to serve açaí in a way that respects the natural qualities of the berry while creating nourishing options that fit naturally into modern lifestyles.
This philosophy continues to guide how we prepare every bowl today.
Freshly Blended Açaí
A key part of what defines Project Acai is how we prepare our açaí base.
Unlike ready-to-eat sorbet formats or soft serve style preparations, our açaí is freshly blended in-store throughout the day. This method produces a denser, richer texture and preserves the nutritional properties of the fruit.
Many commercial formats rely on repeated freezing, thawing and churning to achieve a soft serve consistency. By blending our açaí fresh, the berries undergo less processing stress, allowing their natural character to remain intact while delivering the thick, satisfying texture that defines a well-prepared açaí bowl.
It is a slower process, but one that reflects our commitment to preparing açaí the best way.

From our original store in Holland Village, Project Acai can now be found at Takashimaya S.C., East (Katong) and VivoCity.
While the açaí category has grown significantly since 2015, our focus remains the same: serving açaí prepared with care and continuing to share it with the community that has supported us from the beginning.
